| To prepare and establish a pilot ETV scheme based on the preliminary results of European projects selected in the EC's Environmental Technologies Action Plan (ETAP) and to test its implementation with a network of technical centres throughout the EU. The main aim could be to test and validate 10 to 20 technologies using the developed scheme, in order to evaluate its feasibility in the EU.

| Workshop to verify the needs of end-users of a European ETV System
In TESTNET, some alternative procedures are developed to test a technology and to verify the results to end up with a verification statement that should have the confidence of all players: producers/vendors, users/buyers, policymakers/inspectorate, financers/subsidisers, R&D organisations/test laboratories.
To verify preliminary drafts, an end users workshop was held in Stockholm on 8 & 9 may 2006, in order to collect input and judgement of these players: What are their needs; what can and certainly cannot work; if not: are improvements possible? Contact edu.van.naerssen@kiwa.nl
